Shipwreck of the sister sip, “Peshtigo” was recently located in northern Lake Michigan. Both these ship were built in Peshtigo, Wisconsin in 1862 and 1863 by shipwrights Thomas Spears for the Peshtigo Company. In 1867 a stereoscope was made of a ship, 3 masted schooner/brigantine at Peshtigo Harbor dock. The photo was made as part of a series related to a tour conducted by the Chicago Nortwestern Railway. Identity of the docked ship is unclear now but could that be clarified by the 2:depictions ?
