1840 Built as a Man of War, hull planks 5" & sealings 3" with iron bars for reinforcing, hull 22" thick & should repel most shot; armed with eight 18 pounders & 2 mortars.

1840, Nov In sea trials on Lake Erie, 12 mph.

1841, Jul In service, Lake Erie.

1848, May Commanded by Lieutenant Harper, Lake Erie.

1852, Apr Sold by George W. Tifft, Buffalo, for merchant service.

1852, May Rebuilt Bidwell & Banta, tow boat.

1852, Jun Towing log rafts, Port Rowan, ONT - Tonawanda, NY.

1853 Towing logs to Buffalo from Canadian ports.

1853, Sep Aground at Waterloo, ONT.
