1814, Dec 24 Peace treaty signed in Ghent, Belgium.

1815, Jan Construction began around January 1st, employed 600 men.

1815, Feb 23 Work suspended after finally hearing of war's end.

1815, Apr 1 Was to be launched.

Became tourist attraction.

1883, Sep 24 Auctioned off by government to Alfred Wilkinson, Syracuse, NY.

1884, Feb 9 Collapsed being dismantled; one killed.
