Chronology:

The physical files indicate that the CARIBOU was built on the bottom of the HIRAM R. DIXON, but evidence shows this is not the case, though pieces of the HIRAM R. DIXON, that burned in 1903, may have been used in the construction of the CARIBOU.

Hold is cold storage plant, with ice to ship fish.

1947 Owned M. Dacey, Sault Ste. Marie, ONT; abandoned.

1955 Dropped from Canadian Register.

1962 Remains bulldozed.
