The Fannie C. Hart was bought by Cook's Steamship Line in 1910, to replace "Magic City" that was sunk in Jacksonville Fl. It was to be used to transport passengers and freight. Before it arrived in Miami the Cook's Steamship Company was bought by the Merchant & Planters Transportation Co. It ran the Miami to Jacksonville Route.
