Thunder Bay Research Collection Vessel Plans


2020 - Collection of maritime-related vessel plans compiled by C. Patrick Labadie and Harvey Nissley throughout their research, comprising a portion of the Thunder Bay Research Collection. This project was made possible by a grant from the LSTA Improving Access to Information 2020/2021 Grant. Neil Swendsboe Collection was added in 2021/2022 by funding through the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation. Hans E. Swendsboe was born on May 22, 1924. He was a vessel design engineer for the Cleveland, OH firm of H. C. Downer & Associates (org. 1951), which later became Marine Consultants & Designers, Inc.
