- Alpena News Photograph Collection contains images created as a part of local news' endeavors to cover Alpena County news. This photojournalistic resource provides primary source documents on the city of Alpena, Alpena County, its people places, and events from 1960 through the 1990s (bulk 1970-1980). Donated by the Editor of the Alpena news in the early 2000s, the Alpena County George N. Fletcher Public Library now houses the original photograph negatives along with a large collection of newspaper clippings and photographs used by journalists on local subjects. This digital collection represents only a fraction of the original collection, which is available by request.
